Separating the front end SharePoint server from the back end data base environment helps keep the service affordable.
Each customer’s Windows Server 2003 R2 server receives their own dedicated front end SharePoint (WSS 3.0) instance– the SharePoint database is hosted on a separate 64 bit hosting environment. Both the front end Windows Server and data base hosting environment utilize premium hardware with 64bit processors and have built in redundancy through mirrored memory, power supplies, and RAID storage subsystems.
Each customer’s Advanced Server is configured on an individual basis with a custom set of firewall access rules, custom URL (yourdomain.com), and SSL encryption. Many other features and options are available as you require - such as third party web parts, remote server access, remote backup, high availability options and language choices.
